Casa José Coltro

Casa José Coltro is a legally registered, non-profit Brazilian charity founded in 1988, run by volunteers and maintained by donations. It is located in Campo Limpo, a poor suburb of São Paulo, and
provides services for a large impoverished population. As of 2008, Casa José Coltro has a waiting list of more than 360 children, which demonstrates the great need in the community it services.


 
Orphanage Lar de Ismael

Orphanage Lar de Ismael is a non-profit entity, run by volunteers and maintained by donations.  It is located in Cipó, a poor suburb of São Paulo. It assists orphans and abandoned children ages 6 months to 17 years old.

Its main objective is to provide shelter, food, clothing, education and support for the adoption process. 



Goals

  • To  educate teenagers in responsible lifelong attitudes and education.
  • To keep children off the streets, providing orientation and training leading them to productive  maturity.
  • To support orphans, abandoned children and needful mothers


2008 Services Highlights


Casa Jose Coltro

  • 115 teenagers finished computer classes.
  • 330 children received daily classes on general education.
  •  70 pregnant teens received lessons on breastfeeding, infant care and immunizations, during weekly /three-month long classes.
  • 100,000 meals were cooked during the year at the facility and served to all students.
  • 80 families experiencing unemployment or illness were helped with a basic food basket for the month.
  • Christmas and Easter packages (toys, clothes, and hygiene supplies) were given to children and families.
  • Supported the local community with a subsidized program for basic dentist and optometrist.
  • We have 360 Children waiting to be admitted

 
Orphanage Lar de Ismael

  • 20 children received lots of love and attention in addition to all their basic needs, health, and education.
